About the Chocolatier
Everyone loves chocolate, right? Well, it was that love of chocolate, along with her creativity, an eye for detail and a flair for cooking that prompted Carole Soxman to take her first class in chocolatiering. She was instantly hooked and soon discovered that this affinity for chocolate was actually in her genes! Through relatives, she learned that her great grandfather had been a chocolatier, owning and operating his own candy store in New Jersey for many years. She was destined to become a chocolatier!
Carole relocated to West End, NC in June 2007. In 2010, more than 30 years after that first chocolatiering class, Carole turned her beloved hobby and expertise into a business venture, My Sweet Handcrafted Chocolates. A North Carolina Department of Agriculture Certified Home Processor, Carole expertly combines quality ingredients with classic and unique flavors to create beautiful and delicious individually handcrafted chocolates in both traditional and creative shapes. Custom packaging makes the perfect presentation for any occasion.
